One question, I was using the normal overhead lights and I don't think it was bright enough. So being thrifty, I repositioned my reading lamp, National Love Eye Inverter 27watts on the tank. Can this light be used? So far, I've being using it for 2 weeks.

Do comment.

Thanks.

Nice set up! Sorry to ask, does this plant do not require CO2 supply?

The HC is doing fine,
There're actually 2 batches. The first one, I bought from Sam Teck Pets and they're submersed in a pot-cost $5 a pot!! Expensive!

I then took them out from the pot and planted them...trust me, it was a LOT of effort because the HC keeps floating up. Somemore they turned yellow and melted before growing again.

Since a lot melted and left only here and there, I bought a brick of HC (which is cheaper) from the shop beside 328 for $10. I then cut in into little pieces and tie them to little pieces of wire mesh before planting them. It was a whole lot easier and nicer.

And I was expecting them to melt....suprisingly, they did not and turn darker green each day. Cool.............

I'll post some updates later on. I use only Excel Flourish Liquid CO2.

The design of the setup looks familar, I just read a ADA book by the famous Japanese Plant tank designer and the setup look almost the same.

Anyway, nice setup & 1 months time it will look better!

Yeap, the idea of the tank was taken from looking through the pictures from Amano's book. Some of the tank concept was based on Zen style...several rocks and foreground. Kinda clean, simple and nice.

Trying on this concept as I like foreground very much...it's more like a my own little lawn which I know I'll never own in Singapore unless I kana toto then i buy landed...haha...

PS: I use Excel flourish CO2
