Default Messy 2ft...At Least That Is What I Think It Is...

Here's my 2ft that I have finally setup after a long wait. Thanks to Vincent for the soil and the hardscape and Wei Hao for the plants. Sorry to 'mah fan' you guys so much

And to Dank for his help with planting the crypts.

Here's My Messy 2ft

Plants: Java Fern
E. Tennellus
Anubias barteri nana
Cryptocoryne wendtii hybrid (on the left)
Cryptocoryne walkeri (on the right)
Hygrophila sp 'red' (in front of java fern)
Long Hair Grass (at the right, back, concealing the skimmer)
Taiwan Moss

Lights: Magnum II 55w 8000K

Co2: Solenoid with 1 bps (will set it up higher later)

Filter: Eheim 2213, with rainbar as outlet.

The DWs are super unstable, like loose tooth. Both the one that is jutting out. Currently they are sitting well now, but foresee a difficulty while maintaining. I think it is partly because the DWs are 'airy' inside or very light.

Algae started to grow on the Tennellus even after I just put them in. Will have to get otos and yamatos soon.

Everyone is welcome to comment, though highly unlikely i will do a major change, mainly because the DWs are loose. But will learn from comments in setting up the next tank.

I like the setup... messy is good
Once the moss starts growing well would be even more beautiful..

I personally never really use driftwood and rocks mixture... its alway either of them for me never together...
personally i never thought the two looked natural together...
Also the driftwood structure may be a bit too central...
Other than that... its a very good start...

I love the nanas! I think a little sprinkling of crypts on the right side will be better (try to go for symmetry, but don't make it exactly symmetry, get what I mean?)

Other than that, it's a fine tank.

its nice!! love the wild feeling. however i think the java fern at the left background is out of place, feels weird for the fern to be there

Thanks people for your comments. Feel like still adding plants. There's suggestions to add on the left to cover the flipper and more on the right as well.

I am thinking on adding bolbitis on the centre beside the hygrophila.
