thanks.. i have finally settled for a certain media for my OHF..

ttop tray :blue sponge follow by SERA filter wool.
middle tray : 10L of MR Aqua ceramic Rings neatly arranged.
bottom tray :1kg nanotaro bacteria house, Dymax biolite,1kg biohome +.
base tray(can i put media here too?) : 1kg biohome.

i believe the above set up should be more than enough.. if next time bioload still high.. will add a 1000l/hr and above canister filled with biohome..

Happy for you....

Dont forget to invest in Test kits... they may be a little ex to buy... and they do last you quite some time...

And there won't be any guess work when your babys are not feeling well...

yup.. just bought Tetra pH test kit.. buying API ammonia test kit and maybe nitrate and nitrite test kit too.. its a good investment.. pH at 7.5 now with 1/2 bag of coral chips in tank.. anyway, i wonder should i put a bag or 2 of ceramic rings in the main tank to serve as back up? will BB grow on the surface of those CRs if they are placed in area where flow rate is not constantly reaching there?
