breeding arowana is nt easy.. u need 5 main factor, money, luck, experience, patience and good farmer.
1. money - brooders will cost u easily at least 3-4k for a decent xback each 2. luck - u need luck in breeding, sometimes the aros refuse the breed, or u sway sway kanna alot of males then fights will be more frequent. 3. experience - u need to gain experience frm failurs and yrs of keeing. seek advice from sucessful hobbiest or farmers will also help alot. 4. patience - breeding need lots of patience, sometimes wait 2-3yrs also no results.. some fishes need time to mature and the environment plays a part too. 5. good farmer - a good farmer will give u gd advice on the type of food to feed, the time to harvest, takes good care of ur fishes, give u advice when u purchasing brooders. |

What about invest in raising fish fry? I heard that many people up north in Malaysia buy in fish fry and raise it up to adult and sell back to fish farm. This sound faster and easier, any comment on this?

good question bro aro_craze.. so, wat r the list of investment that is available now? i think my queries is more to of buying brooder stocks. i understand that some farms in malaysia provides this kind of investment where we buy brooders from them and they will handle the maintenance and care of the fishes with the profit of the offsprings being shared accordingly between breeder and investor.. wat u guys think of this?

Locally, I have not heard of any... But over in Bukit Merah, Malaysia, investors can invest in proxy farming... From the videos I watched on youtube, it seems to be a really good investment. Too bad it's all in malay...

I know nothing about aro investment.
but if it's your spare cash or singpools money, then can try lah. Even if don't make profit at the very least you get the priceless experience. Otw making money from investments is not so easy : need knowledge, experience/mentor guidance & luck.
