i think the pregnant female too weak is not really a reason. Because, if the female too weak, it must be because it is stressed by some other problem, like temp, pH, etc, so it should be not considered a reason.

I oso deduce that sakura n Crs like cannot co-exist. None of my sakura can survive for long in my Crs tank which is housing many Crs and their offspring. In fact, my cherries population reduced significantly in my Crs tank.

is it common to have one or two casualties out of the blue while the rest of them are doing fine? I don't believe it is any of the problems mentioned in the poll, coz if it is so, then shouldn't it be a major wiped out rather than just that single piece? If the casualty is weak, why does it die after such a long time in the tank? Long time as in months in the tank.
These casualties definitely do not look old to me, so I dun think is due to old age. |

You can't assume your cherries or sakuras died due to low ph or in optimum crs water parameter. I ever kept sakuras AND cherries with crs in 6.3 ph before. It takes more than just low ph to kill them off. If your not a shrimp doc I believe it's impossible to know why they died.

One of my tanks at ph 5.5... low casualty (occasional deaths) but zero cherry & CRS shrimplets surviving after more than 10 separate berries. I believe that ph is just only one of the factors for CRS, there are many others to worry about as well. |
