My aquascape is not even grown up yet bro.. while you're an established JHG expert!

A monster tank is always fun. Do you have a thread on that? I have never used crypts before although I've always wanted too. My tanks are always too small to use them properly, but you have got me thinking.

Hi, bro. No expert lah. Just sharing my experience with them. I had a thread on my monster comm awhile back. Haven't been updating much, coz too busy maintaining so many. By the time I'm done, usually pretty much drained out. Lol Crypts are really easy to grow, pretty much like Java Ferns. I just place mine in and forgot about them. Months after, I realise they have been flourishing. Really an uncomplicated plant to care for, although they do have some issues with GSA if your light is too bright. Another thing is, some of them grow to around the same size or smaller than Java Ferns. I find their growth is alot neater than Java Ferns, less messy look. I'd say go for those C. Wendtii "Bronze" or "Brown". Nice colour contrast to your greens eventually.

I should have asked you earlier before using Java fern then. You could have voiced out at my thread when I revealed my flora selection! Lol..

What's in your monster comm ?! Haas. I did one day love to be in a room with 3 different aquarium setups - Ranchu, Monster Comm & Planted.
Do share of your 4ft when you start ? Did be lovely !
Crypts are lovely, gives a somewhat wild look and they're quite lasting really.

Haha! Was inexperienced with crypts then. Moreover, the planted was at that stage of being semi-neglected... Lol...

It's just a simple comm. Has a Crossback Arowana, 2 PDRxLeoPearl Rays, 1 Siamese Tiger, 2 Oddbar Indonesian Tigers, 2 Flagtail Prochilodus (FF) both the red and yellow finned variants, 1 Orino RM blue-finned variant and 5 Emperor Blue Hooks.
