Rays have no scales hence they are more susceptible to diseases and fluctuations in water parameters etc. Improve your water bro, rays shouldn't be a problem

Pearls are for the most part captive bred only which means most pups are eating good before they are ready to sell. From my experience, Pearls are just as hearty as Motoros. The problems most people run into is they do not have the correct set up for rays in general. New tank, tanks less than 2' wide, tanks with fish that pick at or harass them, mature male rays, insufficient filteration ect.

Take care of your ray pup like ur baby, for sure no more sudden death sydrom. Initially I tot this is abt species issue, but now I realised it is not. It is more abt how u take care of them. Just look into 2 issues ur rays cfm wont die

a. Water
b. Food

sound simple but trust me, it is not
