Colors of Laps can vary due to many things.
Most often is tank settings.

Also there is individual gene differences too.
If they are small, they are most likely CB.

If they are CB they are most likely Nigerian.

Bought myself a marvelous WC Senegalus today. It's got the most stunning form of any Bichir i've seen in person. It really is a dragon in my tank! Gonna' go back and get one real soon.
