Default My 1st planted aquarium...

Hi all.. This is my new project wit 4 ft aquarium... Any comments( good / bad) are greatly appreciated...

Progress..after 6 weeks, added some discus..

you aquarium looks great.

personally i would have created some form of incline of short to tall plants since you have such a nice carpet, i would have planted some medium height plants like crypts near the middle to create more depth. but up to personal preference. awesome set up though

Thx ivan.. Thinkg of adding some mid plants also but my tanks already filled up wit the hairgrass n rotalia..they grew very fast...

I can imagine the amount of trimming every week.
Its a nice tank indeed.
What filteration sys you using?

Its a sump filter...and yes the rotala n e. parvula grow fast...had prob wit the hairgrass growth initially , it was very slow..but after changd my lightg to t5ho... It grows like weed..😁

OIC. its rare to see planted tank using sump filteration as you need to inject more CO2.
