Ranchus and Lionheads can still get quite large. I used to raise several which are about 8". These things were huge. But they do not have the potential to grow that big in a 2' tank of course.

AC,

You can fit 9 small goldfish in a 2' tank, no problem....but these things do not stay that way, and when they reach about 4", then you have an overcrowded tank.

It might not look like the tank is crowded, but the goldfish are not getting enough oxygen in such a small tank like that, and so it will eventually lead to stunted growth.
