Goldfish and Ranchu are evergreen ornamental fish. The value of goldfish is stable like the US$. All these years you never see the price of goldfish depreciate.

Currently, I still have 9 ranchu in one tub, mixture of china and thai breed. Used to have more ~ at least 20 in three different tanks, but have to cut down and given some away, 'cause have to spend time looking after my baby girl who is now three month old. Will try to post some pictures of my ranchu later.

A Chinese ranchu with an attractive head. From the head, 2/3 of the back is not that smooth. I think right in the middle of the back there is a shallow dent. The curve to tail is good and smooth. It seems you have this fish not very long - a recent purchase.

Pictures are from 3 different fishes. Actually they are with me for around a year now, pictures were taken when they are in my quarantine tub. No dent on the back.
Seldom can find chinese ranchu with this type of growth on the cheek. Normally the growth will be more on the top of the head.
