pompom nose goldlfish
anyone keep this pompom nose goldfish ?
this fish have something like 2 pompom attached from the nose. saw a pair at one LFS in Hougang. they also have 1 pair of black ranchu abt 4 inches, 1 pair of red-capped and 1 pair of oranda. also saw several 3 inches orange ranchu and 2 inches balck ranchu. any comment ? thought of getting the black ranchu and pompom. |

saw some pompom at mainland last month... forgot the price though.
straits aquarium has a new batch of black ranchu but quality lower than last batch. they have about 5 5" oranda there, too. the rest are old stock of thai top view and side view ranchu. they are not importing much thai ranchu this raining season... Quote:

any idea how much the black ranchu and the 5.5" oranda cost in Straits auqarium ?
What is side view ? thai top view ? how do judge a top grade ranchu ? |

no idea how much... he'll quote different price to different ppl or different price on different day. no fixed price... you really need to bargain.
what is side view and top view ranchu... try catching up some threads on ranchu from nov to dec 02... quite some discussion which you may find it beneficial. Quote:

in that case, can i mix pompom with ranchu and pearlscale ?
if not, then at least i can get the goldfish poster and hang it on the wall in my room. |

agreed. ryukin is also one hardy goldfish. if one failed to rear ryukin... one better not rear ranchu.

managed to visit fish corner again.
the pompom's colour is something like copper gold and the price is $48/pair and the black ranchu is $68/pair, it these price reasonable ? |
