saw some pompom at mainland last month... forgot the price though.

straits aquarium has a new batch of black ranchu but quality lower than last batch. they have about 5 5" oranda there, too. the rest are old stock of thai top view and side view ranchu. they are not importing much thai ranchu this raining season...

no idea how much... he'll quote different price to different ppl or different price on different day. no fixed price... you really need to bargain.

what is side view and top view ranchu... try catching up some threads on ranchu from nov to dec 02... quite some discussion which you may find it beneficial.

Don't see any problem mixing these three varieties together. The only thing is never mix Ryukin with any other variety of goldfish. I love the Pompon and now they come in many colour combination. I have some Pompons that have 4 velvety balls. Cute fellows.

Ryukin are rather nasty and tense to suck the eyes off from the other varieties. Ranchu and Ryukin, the 2 Rs, are the most popular varieties amongst the goldfish fans. Unknowingly they mixed these two together and you can guess what happen, the ranchus started to have missing eyes.

agreed. ryukin is also one hardy goldfish. if one failed to rear ryukin... one better not rear ranchu.
