hi folks

i tested by PH today using PH paper brought from aquastar.
it was roughly about 7.5 to 7.6
i am using coral sand and coral chips to make my PH higher and stable.
but this does not seems too effective.

how do you make it go to PH 8?
i saw some bags of oyster shells from clementi C328
can oyster shells raise PH to 8?
what other natural substance and raise the PH to 8?

i have some reservations about PH buffer and chemicals...
and what about the african cichlids salts?
what do these salts do?

thanks

You can use combination of baking soda, sea salt and epsom salt. 1:1:1 ratio. I personally uses 20 g per 100 litre of water.
