Hi Jebus,

Glad that your cat is doing fine.

I am not too sure what sort of tanning (intensity) that you are refering to. However, do note that they being catfish species, it is not advisable to have strong lighting over them**.


For this species, I would even put in some fine gravel for them to go under.

oh i brought it back to my hostel as i will be camping in NTU till end of the month. thus as i am studying in my room, and my study lamp is beside the aquarium, hence the long hours of brightness, so far so good, hoping to bring him home end of the month so he will be able to stay in the 2 ft tank i've reserved for him

Update 20 04 08

3 largest fries - abt 15 weeks old, size abt 130mm.

They are currently housed in a 120gal tank.

Hi Ben, I took out the divider of the flooting box to create more space for the 2 cats to swim. To my surprise, they fight like bettas. Could you advice me whether they gets bad injuries due to fight?

ya, had the same experience before.

They will get along when they were released into a much bigger space. no more fight even when they meet.

Update 26 04 08

This is the 4th largest fry (pix taken few days ago)


Took these pix today.

Dorsal view of the 4th largest fry - currently abt 11cm.


The smaller fry is abt 7cm (TL)... Both are 15wks old but see the size diff !!!


The holding tank for the larger fry.
