can use 2ftx1.5ftx1.8ft 6mm glass for marine tank.

want to do some simple setup.

got two of this tank and a stand.

Was thinking of using the bottom tank as sump.

What sort of stand? Wrought iron stands cannot be used for marine setups, there's a high risk of it rusting and giving way over time.

The tank glass thickness is ok.

From what i know, 6mm is ok unless your referring to a 2' tank with 2' depth, then 6mm is not enough.

Ok, will set up the 2 nos of 2ft tank to try out first.

Now come the next question. What pump should I use for the sump to pump back to main tank.

Depending on the leve lof care and protective measures, it can take as fast as just a few days or less to start rusting.
