Default Tap Water

Is it ok for me to top up my tank direct from the tap and just add corallife salt mix? Do I need to add anti chlorine? Please advise.

You will need to add anti-chlorine, do check that it can be used in marine aquariums.

Since you just got your aquarium, i'm assuming your asking about setting up rather than water change(never do that for water change, always mix seperately and add).

You can only fill with water from the tap and add in the saltmix if your tank is completely(no sand, no rocks) empty. Run a powerhead/wavemaker in the tank to let the water circulate and dissolve the salt for a day or two before measuring the SG.

If there is sand and rocks, you cannot add water then salt as the salt will not dissolve properly and you can inadvertently add too much salt into the system. You would have to mix the saltwater seperately and add it into the tank.

If u r topping up yur tank due to evaporation, I think u shud add de-chlorinated freshwater only, not salt-mixed water
