Don't worry bro, i fed that to my bichirs too when I had them. However they are used to supplement their diet. You can still feed pellets but those largely meat based ones like Hikari Massivore or the Charmy gang pellets for carnivores

anw does anyone know if bichir's pectoral fin and tail fin get mangled up very badly during a fight, will it grow back to same as before?

I think the tail fins will recover. My ornate kena whack by my senegals when I first bought it. After separating them. Ornate tail fins seem to recover slowly
