Oh no... I mainly feed my bichirs lionhead.... the big ones seems so funny chomping down on tiny pellets.... one of my endi from bro evolutionz grow super fast on pellets (it has a huge appetite for hikaris) but he might be an exception

The bigger ones eats with shell on also... But recommend to deshell ... or small bichirs try bite bite two three times... cannot get thru' the shell will give up as its hard to swollow.

I am feeding my bichirs stuchi fillets every other day and they look fat now.... most of them love it except for this retro... however the stuchi fillet smells funky... lol...

Anyway still a bichir newbie... lots to learn!

Don't worry bro, i fed that to my bichirs too when I had them. However they are used to supplement their diet. You can still feed pellets but those largely meat based ones like Hikari Massivore or the Charmy gang pellets for carnivores

I think the tail fins will recover. My ornate kena whack by my senegals when I first bought it. After separating them. Ornate tail fins seem to recover slowly

Pectoral Fins as in the top fins? I do have friends who operate on their bichir's top fin and it grew back.

nope bro the pectoral fins are the fins bichirs use to steer themselves... the top fin is called the dorsal fins... my bichirs have mangled pectoral fin and caudal fins..

As by external anatomy of a polypteridae by mod amiidae!
