Default Some Shrimps Dying

Hi,

New to shrimp keeping. have a LumiQ using UGF. My Tank is about 3 months now.

My tank consists of CRS, FR, Golden and some yellow back shrimpp, tank mates are rasbora.

Crs is dying one by one but surprisngly FR shrimplets are ok. I'm not using chiller, since my office is air con, tank temp about 21-23, on weekeds I'm using a fan and temp about 22-25. I dont think its the temp that causes the death.

NO2 is also zero, I never buy any other test kits. Food is Mosura and using mosura mineral plus during water change 10-15% weekly using RO/DI.

What other parameter are crucial for shrimps ?

Just to add, using 2 X 200l/hr pump without air tube, hence there is no bubbles in the tank. Also underneath the gravel is only sponge, no bio balls and ceremic rings.

Get a PH test kit first.

Will be good if you are able to provide a full tank shot.

Check on ur pH, I kept mine ard 6.5-6.3..

our PUB water is abt 7~, if too high add Super Peat to lower the pH.
place peat in ur filter or bag it in a filter bag then can hang it in the tank.

by adding coral chip, it will rise the pH.. which i believe will not be gd for CRS.

sorry lower post count doesnt allow me to post pic. , anyway will get a PH test kit soon.

Something which I'm quite surprised is that the adult shrimps are slowing dying one by one, but the shrimplets are ok.......... btw, I have about 40 mixed shrimps, CRS, BDS, Fire red, yellow, Golden 3 months ago. now its left with about 8 adults.

Tank mates is only rasbora brigittae and hillstream loach. They doesnt seems to hurt the shrimps, if it does, the shrimplets will be the first to go heaven lol
