Default effect of flow rate on Arowana behavior?

I just changed my Sump pump from a 660 Gal/hr to 1300 Gal/hr pump.
just curious if this will have effect on Arowanas and other fish behavior?
was forced to change last night as my HF finally decided to give up totally .

today i noticed my arowana flaring with my tigers which i have not seen before
could it be due to flow rate or just coincidence?

Also what will be the effect of higher flow rate on my parameters?
tank is 350 Gal with about 150 Gal sump.

higher flowrate, increased dissolved oxygen, more active fishes.
bigger pump also consumes more electricity.
but, if your fishes are struggling to stay stationary, your flowrate is too high.

There's a book called "Dragon Behind The Glass" by Emily Voigt that was all about Asian Aros, and what I learned is that they come from waters that have semi to strong currents, they live on the sides of the river.

I have pretty strong current running through my system and my placement is top 2 corners going in and one solid twirl in the middle. I make sure that there are areas that the water is softer because she seems to like resting sometimes but she alike swimming into the current as well.

Just my set up...good luck
