I think the Benchmark should based on that...In a Better "Clean" environment which skimmer can give a better skimming
I am not surprised when both of your skimmers are not skimming as much as before as your tank environment is now much cleaner than before.

My observation is if you have a "dirty" tank initially, your skimmer will churns out alot of "shit" like what I had experienced with the Macro Venturi during the cycling of a tank. But thereafter, not much liao.

After replacing the Macro Venturi with the new H&S and during the breaking in of the skimmer there was nothing but just bubbles.

But about 3 days later, the H&S "kick-in" and that fella was skimming like hell but it has since slowed down to a snail's pace with the normal skimmate even though with no change in feeding habits.

IMO, I think our tanks are "sterilized and purified" liao ..

It's already ozone compliance tubing but mine is not "white" anymore so it is like a black and white pairing .. ...

Aquamedic skimmers are ozone compliance. Even the airline tubing it supplied.

Hi Chew,

Err...I dun get you. what do u mean by suggest you put a plastic container(Those we use to take-away food-type) to put air-stone. I can see some bubble is escaping to another compartment... Your skimmer pump can help to "pull-in" those bubble

Could you further advise.

Thanks!
