Using UV is not a long term solutions.
It is probably effect of lighting & nutrients in the water.
Do a check on the nitrate level/water parameters, & if necessary increase water change freq.

If u on lights 24/7 or leave lights on more than 6hrs a day..with nutrient n nitrates filled water..nature will create green or brown algae. This is by product of nutrient filled water n light..so water apears greenish or cloudy..Either uv if u still want lights on most of the day, or freq wc..for me as along wp are in check especially ph lvl(in a mature cycled set up).. I'm fine.

Agree. You seem to be treating the symptoms but not the cause.

Interesting to know (the ghxb thingy) Imo, although WC, I guess only partial, it's a dilution. The accumulation soon surface (Where got out of sudden de?)
Wat u do (UVc) will stop green water but soon algae will grow on tank wall.

Talking about uv light to elimate green water, can the Arcadia submersible tanning light helps to elimate them? As they have UVA and UVB..... Kindly advise as I also have this problem
