Extracting of tags (Pls do not view if offended by pics of dissected aros)
Had the very sad moment when i found my green dying early this morning. Toyed with the thoughts of dissecting the green to show the process of extracting a tag from a dead aro. Although till now i feel very very upset abt the death of my green, i decided to go ahead with the plan. Got my wife to take the pics while i extracted the tag from my beloved green.
Below are the step by step pics of the procedure. Last edited by raceline; 05-02-2007 at 03:31 PM. |

Tag is located at the rear region of the stomach area.
Please take note that not all aros have their tag at the stomach region. Some are tagged at the shoulder. Last edited by raceline; 05-02-2007 at 03:31 PM. |

I transfer the aro to my fgt in the hope of it getting more swimming space. Who knows it got itself stucked at the netting i used as a cover. Was there to se the green took it's last breath..... Felt so very sad till now. But i went to cut it up to share with bros here on how to extract a tag. Hope it helps bros here. |
