Beginner
Hi all, was wondering as im a beginner keeping discus
what strain should i keep as a beginner and where can i buy it As my tank is ready 4x1.5x1.5 with no oyama attached My only filtration im using is sponge filter appreciate bros help. Advance thank you to all the bros |

the more hardy strains are pigeons and turquoise, or leopards.
try to get a group of 6 or so, juvies as they are shoal fishes. sometimes hobbyists also can get if they bred extras around and can be had cheaper. otherwise lfs like clementi will have stock regular. all the best in ur new endeavor. |

Hi thank you bro the advises so far have not gotten any yet
still lookin around to see...and still reading the no of feeding to a juv fish as i dont wish to feed it any live foods..looking at pellets for feeding.. Hardly see any hobbist selling their juvenile now or more lesser people are in this hobby |

if pellets, can try hikari, tetra or tropical mainly.
what u get depends on ur wallet as always. water conditions are important esp for discus, so u need a lot of time to spend on them. |
