Default Resun CL1000 v Arctica 1/4

Hi I'm thinking of the above options for my 4x2x2.5 marine tank. The resun is cheaper but I heard the electrical consumption is off the charts. Any comments? Thanks!

Resun is well-known for its hunger in power. Fyi, I have a CL280 which consumes as much much as my Artica 1/4hp.

My suggestion is to opt for the "compressor" type which is alot better in terms of efficiency as well as power consumption eg StarMex with a titanium coil.

Fyi, it takes only 25 mins to cool one deg Cel as compared to Artica (about 2 hrs) for maintaining temp at 25.5 deg C.

If you have enough budget than go for Arctica. Else might want to consider Resun C0500 which is enough to support your 4ft tanks. Alternative would be Hailea 1/2 HP. But heard it is not a very good chiller.
