That 'bee' clown is actually a Clarkii clownfish. Its quite alot of stuff in there, you should avoid stocking up on anymore fish for now as these contribute quite a fair bit to the bioload.
I would advise you to remove the mantis shrimp. It would hunt down your fishes and consume them. It would be nice to stockup the tank with more corals.

If its simpler corals like mushrooms, zoos or even LPS, you can just use 4 tubes of HO T5 lights. Whereas if your choice is clams or light demanding corals like SPS, MH bulbs would definitely be more suitable for the higher light output. 1 bulb should be sufficient. MH gives out more heat than 4 HO T5 tubes. You have the choice of either T5s or MH as your tank isn't very deep so either bulb's light energy would be able to penetrate the depth. The more suitable light would be determined by your budget and what your planning to keep in future. MH is likely to cost more than HO T5s. I don't really know the market rates now, but from the last known figures 1yr+ back, it can be around $200 and above. Remember, light isn't the only thing a coral needs. So its not advisable to buy a coral blindly and then find out about it later. Quote:

Thanks for explaining...
now i know what to look for... when to sim lim tower and check out those LEDs... about $20++ DIY... i have upgraded my lightings from T4 to T5 4xtubes HO 2xwhite and 2xblue.... Now my tank become more brighter.... Think its time to do some shopping for corals... is there any case people using T5 Ho lightings for clams....? wish to keep 1 or can try to place it at higher place... |

Its possible to keep clams under HO T5s, i ever tried but mine died a few weeks later to clam disease. Just stack it very high up, as high as possible, put it as close to the bulb as possible. Thats why MH would be more suitable for the job due to the greater light output.
Remember to replace your tubes frequently. A replacement every 6-9months would be good to play safe though supposedly we can replace them once a year at max. Tubes loose their efficiency overtime. Just remember to readup on their care and requirements first before trying.
