12 weeks per kit (kit I think costs slightly under $50). Works out to be about $4/week.

Take note that the e3 measurements you find online include the length of the "hang on" portion, which will be inside the tank.

If you don't mind in-tank skimmers taking up some space on your back corner, you can consider the Tunze 9002 or Bubble Magus QQ. The QQ is about $80 first hand and if you can get a 2nd hand set it'll likely be similar in price to the Rio.

You will need to scape to hide it though

i saw the kit in madpetz, will get one of these when i set up my tank!

my hang on filter already taken up 15cm of my tank's length at the back.. side is blocked by cabinet doors so it cant fit in my tank..

tank already quite small i dont think i want a 9002 or QQ inside to take up more space.. i might buy a Dymax IQ skimmer and ive read some reviews so far the only problem is that the airstone needs changing every month.. which im ok with it.. are you able to get dark green to brown skimmate from the IQ skimmer?

iQ skimmer only gave me pee coloured skimmate. If you got the e3 and dose prodibio, i would say you don't need the hob. Just add a wavemaker for flow and you are set.

Will the E3 be able to filter off those debris cause by the sand or feeding? Don't I need a filter with sponges to filter the water?

Dunno leh, maintain a low bioload and don't overfeed and i think you won't have debris problem. Anything large and unsightly can siphon out
