School Tank Journal
once upon a time... there was a biology lab tank full of algae and out-of control java moss. it hadn't been cleaned for 3 years....
one day, a group of 3 friends decided something had to be done... they asked the teacher for permission to re-do the tank and were given an okay. they bought plants, driftwood, and started to clean the tank... it was so dirty, the water from washing the gravel was like milo, the filter floss was like mud.. and the walls were like algae heaven. soon the tank was clean! sadly, the friends forgot to take pics of the tank before and during set up because their hands were dirty but... this is how it looked like right after: okay enough story. re-did the tank around a week ago, its a two foot tank, but looks quite small. the only fish in there was the original inhabitant, a catfish that we havent IDed. poor thing kenna used as a cycling fish so far these are the plants... 2x windelove 1x java fern (tall type) 1x anubias 1x javamoss driftwood. will be continueing landscaping tmr, and maybe adding fish soon btw any suggestions on how to cover the tube? what other plants etc...? |

was thinking angelfish, but then i wont be able to put cardinals. trying to stick to one specific biotype... angels and cardinals are South American, gouramies are SE-Asian |

Fantastic effort Sis!! I know how nasty is it to take apart a neglected tank and redo it. Top marks for effort. |

You should not have wash the gravel, if they are the soil type. The milkiness will just clear.
Biotope look, then tie windelov and jave fern to the driftwood. Create alittle more mass. OHF is fine, if you are not introducing CO2. |
