All heater should have a thermostat... To cutoff the heating coil when it reach to the require temperature.
I doubt the seller will compensate ya. Bro my advice is don't need to chase the seller we have to move on. |

Sorry for your loss ts. Next time check the heater first, there's a light indicator on heater. Light on meant heater turn on, light off heater is off. Make sure the heater can auto toggle between on n off before using it. I usually take a small container, set to close water temp, drop the heater n wait for a while to check can it auto shut off when preset temp reached.

hi bro.
what brand is your heater. some heater need to be calibrated before use. different country different standard. My Jager Eheim 300W. says pre calibrated. i put into water. set at 28. water actually is 31. luckily didnt set at 31. else i dont know how now. there are a few dials on the top there to calibrate. so really need to take note these small small things. RIP you fishies. Condolences |

bro, my deepest condolences for your loss.
yes, "heart pain" honest, whenever I use the heater in my tank, I shall make sure there is full aeration too just in case. test it for the entire day when I am around too. |
