bro, i think the fish is beyond ur mean to save liao. Sad to say that but truth, i think its ur water condition that caused this. its really hard pain to see the fish suffer like that.

Please put the poor aro out of its misery. There is no cure for this problem. If you tried to prick one of this 'bubbles' it is hard & there is no liquid in them. Hence this problem won't go away even if you tried to sedate the aro & lance all of the 'bubbles'. The aro will eventually die.

The easiest way to euthanize a fish is to bag it & put it in the freezer. The metabolism slows down as the water freezes. That way it slowly goes to sleep without any pain.

Hi Doc Vetduck,

Do you mind sharing whats the cause of this pimple problem and anyway to cure it if it happens at the initial stage like a few small pimples noticed??

So we could learn from it and prevent it from happening

Thanks alot

TS: Really sorry for your aro.

I don't exactly know what causes it, but I seen it several times before. These nodules usually start around the gill & head areas. They are hard. Likely to be some sort of deeper infection erupting onto the surface.

Most of these problems are usually associated with poor water conditions anyway.
