Hi all bros, just wanna ask who keep xb or red comm.
whats the amt of mp that you all feed your comm everyday?
Is it true that feed the aro til full then it will reduced fight?
I just started my 5 piece xb comm, i fed about 10 pieces of mp, is it considered too much?

I kept a 7 red comm before.

Fighting in a comm is caused by many factors - it's hard to pin point it to one single factor eg hunger. Sometimes it may be the need for an alpha to dominate and make the others submit. Perhaps, a hungry aro is an angry aro may hold true too. I personally believe, a hungry aro is more irritable.

As to the amount to feed - it's very hard to gauge and advise you. Different aged aros have different level of appetite. Hell, even same aged aros exhibit differing appetite levels (same with kids).

I'm not too helpful here but you need to discover for yourself, the appetite level of your comm. For this you can slowly feed till they stop eating - that will be one limit and slowly learn about your comm appetite from there. There's quite a bit of material in the forum on feeding. It will be useful to search a bit.

feeding depend on the aro ... I have a 2 pc comm and I used to feed 6-7 MP per day... now I reduce to 4-5MP to cut cost... and aro seem abit more irriated, maybe hungry..lol

I have SR red aro comm, they are all quite big now, I feed them every other day, I dont notice any difference with feeding them daily and every other day, maybe its different for young aros

2kgs a week for a comm of 6 seems reasonable. I am buying half kg a week yo feed one tigirinus and a red aro.

Tigirinus is a Catfish family ma, wakakakaka. They are all vacuum fish to me..

Mine 2 pair of XB, each pair in a tank.
I feed them twice a week. No problem.

if your aro big, can try to feed Kuning fish..if aro small, just cut into chunks lor....however if they chew it, it would be messy so keep some tankmates like ray, TFB, silver dollars etc to clean up...

kuning $6 per kg.
MP $9-13 per kg.

if u have adult comm...think can save alot....u see zoo/river safari also feed kuning...more economic mah...

Thanks bros for the advise. Currently I reduce to 5-6 mp per day. Think when I feed more, fight do reduce so hopefully the alpha don't whack more hahaha
