Default Disinfecting tank

Hi guys, all of my fishes in my 3ft tank had died of some bacteria infection(fin rot etc) .
Im plannIng to start all over by transferring my goldfish from my 2 ft tank ino the 3ft tank.

Can I ask if by just drying out the tank for a few days would kill all the bad bacteria? Or must I resort to chemical like bleach(which I hope to avoid)?

Would my goldfish get infected by the bacteria if I add them in now?

Lastly, how do I disinfect the cr media? Do I just wash them with tap water, hot water, salt water or bleach?

Really thanks for all the help! This is my first time facing this situation, hope the shifu here can help

Give it a good scrub before transferring them back to your 3ft tank.

To me is your water management not good that why have fin rot etc.
Even if you transfer back if you neglect the TLC... your gold fish will get infected again.
Goldfish bioload pretty high so invest on better filtration to combat this problem.

Disinfecting will be best as you may not know where these harmful bacteria may still lurking epically in medias.
Rubbing alcohol is a good disinfectant for your tank easily available in pharmacies. Easy to rinse off then dry without the fear of it harming your potential lifestocks.
As for the medias just boil them
Hope it helps
