2 way for you
1. left in your tank let the brown color be a part of it . But after a few WC the color should be lighter . 2. Take out the wood in other tub or container with the help of air pump (air stone) . Err this work on my dw last time color consider faster out and lesser brown if I place in my main tank . (any senior can advise if I m wrong) . Last edited by No78; 22-11-2014 at 01:07 PM. |

The tint will actually soften and calm fish.... It will clear away after numerous water change over time.. Lighter as time goes.
Or u can try active carbon.... |

I have 2 dw and they still release tannings into the water after boiling for 2 days, however, my discus turn out to love the environment with the dw inside, especially my heckels which are more used to softer water and blackwater environment.
I have not tried active carbon but i may not be putting since my discus like the current water. |
