Question PL Bracket Stands

hey bros,
just bought a PL light & theres a problem...

The PL bracket stand is not big enough for my tank bracing
Thinking of cutting out this portion inside the red marking

any other ideas to make the PL bracket stand fit?

add foam, wood or cardboard to fill the gap and make it more secure ?

actually if its able to stand and seems quite stable, ill leave it alone. if u really want to be sure, just use black tape and tape the sides of the bracket. saves you alot of work..

bro, the bracing is made up of plastic, so thinking of using a hot pen knife to cut it.

bro, its not stable. can see from the pic that only one part of the
bracket - shaped 'n' is touching the tank
i scared that if i put it this way & the light may fall in to the water & .........

bro, why not cut off the 'inner leg' of the light's bracket?

don't know if it'll still be stable after that but its definitely much easier to cut that cutting your tank's bracing..

inner leg made of plastic, how to cut part of it away ? and its the made design, so cutting it would make it unstable.

hmm my light's balancing on only 'outer legs', at least that's why they're designed. that's why i mentioned if it will make the light unstable or not cause i don't know how the design is like.

but mine's very stable and so yea...

cutting the top frame with hot pen knife must require skill if ur tank is plastic.

may be can consider cutting away the outer leg and use the L-shape to support then use paper binder clip to double secure it. clip might rust.

ignore if u think it cann`t work.
