Cool is 6200K fl sufficient???

1}I always read in this forum that the fl colour temperature for planted tank should be between 6500k to 10000k but i read from other sources that the sunlight clolour temp is about 5500 ++k i am wondering if the normal fl light that we get in ntuc is gd enough with a colour temp of 6200k?

2}One other thing that i am curious about is that how come for a 15 watt 1.5ft daylight fl sold in fls is around 5 to 7 dollar while in places like ntuc is juz 2 to 3 dollar. May I know whats the actual different???

Hope that all bro and sis will give me an answer regarding the above 2 qns.

The normal Triphosphorus NEC lights from NTUC will do just fine.
Its as close as 6500k.
The actual difference in regards to pricing is the packaging, the marketing, the need for LFS owners to markup for profit and the very fact its a pet store or hobbyist store makes it demand that price.
