install one more "step" for the water to fall on below going into the pond.

I notice if the water falls as 1 whole 'slice' rather than in these drips and draps, it's quieter.
Just my observations with my various setups, so maybe you can try like a stronger pump or something. |

Build a water slide made of ribbed tiles to ease the water down. it will turn the splash into a melodious trickle.

Thanks, i have a dribble fall next to it, this 'waterfall' is a top tier tank setting for my goldfishes. The waterfall will fall into the main pond.
