Default OTF ridiculous sale price of their EPB

I was at OTF last weekend. Saw that they have this nice EPB or Speckled Pavon about 15" to 16" in a tank. Ask the lady at the counter if it was for sale. She then referred me to a tall fella who subsequently replied in a bo chap and arrogant manner. $600.

I said $600!!!!!!! For that money, I would rather buy a aro!

Just wanted bros to know about this a--hole at OTF. You all should try asking for the price, and lets see how he anyhow quote. Its so ridiculous, I almost laughed and cried at the same time.

Not surprised. Some weeks back i was quoted $12 for a 1.5'' sea mono. But i think the choice is theirs. They open a farm and they name their price. If price is ok then we buy if not just walk away. Nothing to loss on our side.

Well, its not really a matter of walking away if the price suck. But the very action of quoting an unattainable price which left in me a bitter aftertaste. Either he was thinking I was dumb and desperate (and wanted to make a fast buck), or he simply couldn't be bothered (which leaves a bad impression cos I was a prospective customer). Ah well, to each his own. Maybe if I went back with my goatee shaved off, he might take a liking to me?

Lol!
I thought I was the only one who thought that their prices are a bit too much.
No comments on their attitude and services though..
