sucker fish and aro
Hi guys,
Anybody has experienced sucker fish / pleco sticking to the side of their arowana "feasting" on their slime coat? I hv seen sucker fish "feasting" on goldfish and feels that it is not healthy for the goldfish. will it happen to arowana as well? How can we keep algae growth in check if no sucker fish in tank? |

Goldfish is a gentle fish, pleco don't dare try on monster fish.

My tanning light is on 24/7. Even with pleco and uv light, my tank still has plenty of algae growing on the back glass. My pleco has plenty to feast on. Probably, its time to get afew more pleco. And I've never seen my pleco clinging on my aro.

I have seen pleco sucking on fish. I think they are hungry. Might wanna consider feeding them with algae wafers. |
