Default 3FT Tanga tank??

Going to restart the hobbies again, with a 3x1.5x1.5 tank due to space constraint.

Occupants will be 1 x 6" Mpimbwe, 2x 2" burundi, 2 Yellow Altos and 2 Julies, will it be ok?

The Burundis & Mpimbwe will outgrow your tank when they reach full adult.

just barely enough. the fronts will soon outgrow it. 4x1.5x1.5 is barely enough for the trio

Never have luck with the fronts reaching adult size, the other 2 times I tried keeping fonts in a 5Ft tank, after 2 years all died one by one at about 7".

The 6" mpimbwe is the last survivor from the 2nd batch. Now residing in a 2ft tank.

dont even need to reach adulthood.by about 6-8inch u will aready see the tank becoming too cramped. adults at 10-12inch, a 422 is barely enough.

Will be getting a 4ft tank then.

The first batch lost after water change, did the usual of adding anti chlorine and 20% water change. Then every 2-3 days lost 1 fish. Suspect the water parameters from the HDB supply. Using C0 substrate to harden water and keeping 8 burundi (5 inch), 2 Mpimbwe(5-6inch), 3 Tanzanite (6-7 inches). Using 2 canister filter. Kept for a year plus.

The second batch, same set up, also the same thing, 2-3 days lost 1 fish until almost the whole tank wipe out. Keeping 9 Mpimbwe. 5-7 inches for a year.

Stopped the hobby and transfer the last survivor to a 2ft tank as the 5ft tank leak.

Now a year later, itch to start again, recently bought two 2" burundi to add to the 2X1.5X2 tank with the 5" Mpimbwe, with C0 coral chips and using a Eheim internal filter.

how long did u cycle the tank for and what was the water parameter of the tank prior to addition of the fishes? after keeping for one year all should be stable. did u manage to do a check to find out cause of death??? water parameter? chlorine test? temperature? etc etc

The cycling of the water should be ok, as I have been keeping for a year plus and the fishes are healthy and growing out from 2 inches. Even before the death the fish are eating normally and active and when its going to die it will hide at 1 corner become lethargic. Still unsure of the death.
