injured aro, please help wanseknockout
a member, wanseknockout, sent me a pic requesting for help. i thought i'll share it here, so more people can share their views.
In my opinion this looks like an external infection from an open wound due to injury. i think i'll first isolate it in a hospital tank with clean water and 0.3% salt (to help reduce buoyancy) no feeding until open wound recovers. keep water extremely clean, no tankmates, daily 30-50% water change with adequate amount of water conditioner (anti chlorine/chloroamine). dose medication for external infection.

Hear hear.
I have also received the same plea. Maintain good water parameters is fundamental. Stop feeding for the time being. |

Try s1 green solution...
No feeding for time being. Every two three days water change. Salt is also good too. |

salt wouldnt hurt, and help in preventing further infection, but problem is since most ppl dont measure how much salt exactly they're using they usually end up dosing too little which doesnt help at all, or overdosing which might cause more harm than good.
other option is to run a UV until the aro has recovered. |

I'd treat with yellow powder and salt.
Add in heater and make sure water parameter is good. |
