I am using a Eheim Liberty HOT filter in addition to a Eheim 2028 Cannister for my Nano 2ft tank.

f. Test kits - NO2, NO3, NH3, PO4
You missed out an important equipment, a pH testkit. Alternatively, to make things simpler(but more expensive) is to get a pH pen. Makes testing of pH much more quicker and easier.

For a 2' tank, either a hang-on filter or canister suplemented by LR in the maintank would suffice.

Okay, updating equipments

Things gotten
1. Tank with IOS and a DIY sump
2. Powerhead as return pump - Atman AT-105 (3000l/h)
3. Sands - only grade 0
4. Salt Coralife
5. Test kits - NO2, NO3, NH3, PO4, PH
6. Hydrometer
7. Some bioballs & filter wool

Now, I have a problem, I don't know how to set up the IOS and the sump. No idea what to put inside the IOS and sump..

Possible to get a pic of the whole setup? This way, we can try and help you figure out what goes where in the sump and maintank.
