Those appear to be bristleworms. Removal or not is up to the individual hobbyist. I leave them in there as they are scavengers. Do note that these worms leave invisible spines on your LR and you can get pricked by them.

Bro,

Usually we drill the hole in the piping at a point which is just under the surface, when the pump is running. And just in case you worry that this hole might get clogged up with detritus or algae over time (it will), you can do 2 holes instead of 1. Or just clean the hole everytime you do a water change.

Hmmm, long time since I updated. Okie, some updates for my tank now. Currently having 1 firefish, 1 regal tang (real small and cute, haha), 1 zoo and 1 coco worm!

Those bristles worms r actually beneficial to the system, is a mistake to remove them!

hi, will you be putting in coral or things like that?

I'm a newbie in marine tank, was thinking of setting up something like yours.

Only worry that my 2x1.5x1.5 ft 6mm glass cannot take the weight and pressure of water. What tank r u using?
