Hi Leo, Ya've a nice setup there aesthetically, except juz a few distracting positions of e stem plants. Honestly, it looks great to e eye, great planning beforehand but i feel it's a rush work tho. Pardon me fr saying this, e basic structure is there but what abt e gaps? If ya're planning to have amphibians in ur setup, i'm sure those gaps in between e glass n e bark will be a death trap fr ur amphibians as well as a breeding hole fr run away crickets. These in turn will be too diff a hassle to attend to.

Ur moss is fabulous n e waterfall feature attains dat 1/3 visual rule as applied to all forms of visual structures. But perhaps ya're not having any critters at all, hence e gaps n all. In all, it's great n urs has to be one of those ppl who really have a concrete visual before working on e actual setup.

Good work n hope to see future developements on e basic structure as well as e growth of e flora.

Best Regards,
Phillip.

Bro leo, ur tank looks like a 2ft... hmmm more java moss on the DW waterfall might be nice

Bro dkk08, I was inspired by those foreign vivarium
webpages.....those tanks and setup are really very cool , much better than mine.

My tank is only 1.5ft, anyway I am not using java moss for my set-up.
Is a kind of tropical moss for vivarium setup. The growth of the moss
is thicker and the leaflets are fatter.

I still have some for sale...

Bro Ginger, is great have your comments as you are the poineer here.

Seen some of your masterpiece in your gallery...looks great.

I think the distraction you referring to is the stem plant on the left side of the tank. I felt that too. I just done some A&A to that area last night, will post some pics later.

Are you refering to the gaps between the wood and back glass? I actually purposely plan to create a sizable arch cave behind there for crawlies to hide or maybe mating activities.

The space is big enough for them to move in and out freely. I forgot to take pics on the inner back tank where I create a private spawning pool where the movement of water flow is minimal and actually connected to the back cave.

Actually this riverbank setup is purposely created for T.shanjing sp. but until now still can't find any.

However, at least I still have some flora for me to watch everyday...

is the entire base made consisting of several driftwoods???

Thanks..your new vivarium is equally nice too.

I am using one huge wood for the base. Three woods in total for the whole tank.

I am doing a 2 tier design creating both wet and dry area.

i think if u can find T shanjing, they will love it. have to keep your fingers crossed and eyes open then, cos think only one or 2 come by our lfs once a while

but if you can find i think u would need to change a bit as u need a bit of hiding spaces or shade

Yah..you are right. If I can get them, I will provide some shade and hide in front.
Right now, I just let the flora flourish first.

FBN already so hard to find, dun talk abt T shanjing. Go to so many lfs, all
dun have.

Maybe should throw in some feeder frogs to create some activity inside.

hmmm T.shanjing, now where have I seen those, oh hehehe I've some with me (pardon me for my lameness but today is my birthday hehe )

Honestly I think 1.5ft is not enough for T.shanjing or T.verrucosus, they need much bigger land area as their can grow up to 5-7" in length... I'm keeping abt 8 T.verrucosus and 5 T.shanjing in a 1.5ft land area, and some of them are climbing all over their tankmates n some are found "up in the trees" as I've tree branches and a few caves in a cliff I made...

sighz I'm still planning to do another 3ft setup for them, but I just can't seem to sell the fishes in that tank argh!

Anyway I think ur tank wld suit dendrobatids or small toads or even small turtles (but of coz the turtles will start snapping at ur plants)
