sotong as feeder
Does sotong has less risk of parasite compare to raw fish and prawn?

I don't think so. But i find market sotong easier to clean and cut into pieces, then freeze it. Most of the parasites do not survive beyond freezing point.
Unless you are talking about live sotong, then i never tried before. haha |

I feed my fish with some sotong, they chew and spit and chew very long before swallowing.

Saltwater mp/sotong/fish are mostly parasites free for feeding freshwater fish coz 1) freshwater kills most saltwater parasites 2) freezing kills most parasites too. I've been feeding a large variety of frozen feeds for years no issue. I'll be more worried about preservatives than parasites. Sotong is one of my Favourite choices too... sadly recently prices have gone up lol.

I will try to avoid feeding sotong to fishes. I observed some of my catfishes get bloated for few days after feeding.

I brought those big size sotong and cut into slices.
"bloat" as in like the belly swell and them took looooong time to pass it out. During this period, typically the cat looks uncomfortable swimming around.. |

Yes I noticed that squid/sotong take longer to digest, fishes don't get hungry as fast.
My bichirs don't take sotong at all.
