"Reservation" of such seats might have become a sort of culture here, but it's not (and should NEVER) be a right. If someone else choose to ignore such a practice (tissue pack or umbrella, whatnots) and just sit down, there's nothing we can do, actually. Many people seem not to know this.
It's like saying, "I bypass this table and let you come back to it as a courtesy, but it's definitely not your right." Having said that, we should have enough sense to just take up seats and not the whole table if the place is crowded. In the vid, seemed the woman said something to the effect of the table being reserved, when there're only 2 of them? Were they planning to have the table filled with a buffet spread? By the way, the elderly man's daughter has spoken up (I think it's in FB that I read her post), and it seemed he didn't even say anything to his family for 2 days until she learned about it from social media. With only the packets of tissue paper on the table and nobody around as they have gone to buy their food, I have seen some take the tissue away for their own use.
