Yes, Hydra will still be efficient and benefit as the live stocks in the tank will still be releasing bio waste at any time of the day. |

One of the plate that turn brown is normal as per my reply to the previous post by one of bro here. This due to the reaction by the plate and cata pure and cause oxidation. Do rest assure that it will not affect the performance of OF Hydra. |

Hi. I would like to know if this technology is similar to having a twinstar nano in your tank. They also uses a two mesh with an 'anode' and 'cathode' but only fine bubbles are release in the tank. With the stream, are bubblea also release within the hydra stream cannister? Thank you.

The technology between Twinstar and Hydra is different. Hydra does not need to have air bubbles being aerated in the canister. Hydra is working on the reaction between the cata-pure media and the electro plate that is place inside the canister. |

Phosphate based ph buffer and hydra stream
Hi there,
If I am using a phosphate based ph buffer to maintain my ph at 6.5, will using hydra stream render my ph buffer ineffective since it is said to "precipitate PO4" ? |

Hydra reacts with organic forms of phosphate in water which does not affect Ph. Hydra has no effect with inorganic phosphate buffer media/solution. |

Hi bro,
Thanks for quick reply. I read about your reply on your other forum post about Hydra Internal Filter that the technology will raise ph but will not affect low-ph requirement fish? May I know the technical explanation behind this? Since i'm keeping some fish that require low ph and they are sensitive to both high ph and fluctuation, I just want to be assure that the Hydra Stream won't cause them high ph/ph fluctuation stress. Hope to hear from u bro. thx. |

It will be tough for us to determine how much will the fluctuation of the Ph value in each tank as different fish tank will have different level if ions concentration. However, the fluctuation of Ph will be around plus minus 0.5 |

can you run 2 or more hydra streams on a series? would it be beneficial or an overkill?
