I have the same opinion about TGM. He is a really solid bichir keeper. It is much more informative reading his posts as he is always much clearer in his explanation compared to others.

I have been talking with a charming guy called Angus from Stones Aquarium, about getting a load of Kamihata PBB and Ansorgii and possible short body PBB
For him. The only difficulty, is for some stupid reason, many Japanese suppliers are not keen on dealing with foreigners, and as my supplier knows I am not a dealer, but a hobbyist, I have to be subtle about how I get them! Anyway, I will be seeing them in April, and will be able to get the ball rolling with Angus and hopefully get some more nice fish out there! Stones Aquarium seems like a decent place, so things look good. Side note, a new pic: |

Great!! Its nice that you have managed to link up with Boss Angus. His a nice guy and hopefully things work out well. Perhaps its time for me to store some ammunition (Vitamin M) in case some of those nice bichirs landed here.
Any chances of some Dory K delhelzis too? |

I payed ¥20,000 (around $200us?) for my Dory-k Delhezi.
My place has 2 Dory- k Endlicheri at about 8-10" for ¥19,800 each. Here is a pic of those: . Pic doesn't do them justice, they have insane markings on them, that go all the way under the body too. The Delhezi posted earlier in the thread, look a little like Dory-k, but could be "gef", another premium breeder here. I love Dory-k fish, and when ever I see them I tend to buy, but these Endli will have to wait as I have spent way too much money on fish in the last few months! |

Forgot to say, in the April meet, I will speak to Hideki from Dory-k and ask him why they don't export their Bichirs out of Japan so much.
Again, I think I know why, it is down to the competitiveness of the Japanese "poly Mania" scene. Pathetic really, as japanese enthusiasts love getting all the gorgeous Arowana imported from S.E. Asia! |
