Bro Hao, sorry to hear that. Please move on, we must always expect the unexpected in this hobby.

Bro Luc, the fish with bluish finnage in the last 2 pics are the same fish that has passed on.
It is the polypterus endlicheri congicus.

Hi all birchir lovers there... I'm new to birchirs... Got a few endies and 2 lap... But cant post pics due to restriction. Just to learn more... they should be place in a black tank(4 sides black) or a red tank(3 side red, bottom white)? I cant seem to find the red sand which u guys talk about... Any opinions?

Haha.. All the videos from the same guy.. His collection power ah! I noticed bigger (older) PBBs have this spoonhead feature but then again, it varies with fish. Not all exhibit this feature. Bichirs are not from the bony tongue family(osteoglossiformes) instead they are from Polypteridae family. Aiyah basically both types are closely related to prehistoric fish!

Btw, I think yours will turn out into something like this given the light base

But then again, bichirs in general are like chameleons, they adapt to the surroundings
