Never washed sump, fearing biobacter wipeout.
First time clean sump tank today.
Used main tank water to rinse media & wash/drain the sludge in sump compartment. Daren't use tap water to cleanse. Cleaned first compartment only, next week do middle compartments, pump compartment will do the week after that.

Dr ong try not to clean your compartment at such a short interval.
For me 3 months interval for each compartment why we need to clean the medias so the pores of the media won't get stuck with sludge. Water is able to flow thru the media then the effectiveness of cultivating good bacteria is optimize. |
