Sharing my new comm of adult and juvenile aros

Added 2 x juvenile Shelook Reds, 1 X DFI GH X-back to my 6 feet tank containing my adult RTG.
No fights so far on first night. Think the wavemaker helped.

Good luck bro...the size difference yr biggest and smallest aro looks quite huge...

The mix of fishes also not matching. PH requirement is different. I wouldn't encourage this huge size difference. Just intro normally wil not fight but can tell you, the biggest 1 will attack them soon. The cheapest rtg attack the more exp red will make you heart pain, suggest u let go the rtg.

I guess you meant the couple of blue zaire inside. They have been living in ph 7 water at the farm where they were kept for few months already...so no problem as you can see from their vibrant color. The zaire took in pellets, market prawn, anything that could feed their mouth.
To me the RTG is most expensive as I had it for 16 years now, bought it when I was just a poor student. Fingers' cross , so far so good...everyone survived the night without new scratches.

it is a matter of time, your rtg will attack your red.

in term of price, dollars and cents, your rtg is the cheapest. Sentimental value wise the highest. I suggest you get a 422 for your rtg

Though imho, the rtg may not attack the smaller aros, but is best to hv a plan B. 16yrs of tlc, really not easy. Kudos Bro.

I would not say it is a peaceful comm, i will say it is a dangerous comm because of big issue on body size (adult 24inch/juvenile 10inch) difference.

Now you see no fight do not mean there is no fight in future, you need to monitor closely about their behaviour.

Another thing are those decorated rocks with sharp edges or points will post a danger for aros to get the body scratch with injury when they are chasing each other.

10inch juvenile can easily fit into 24inch adult mouth, for adult aro as long as any fish/food can fit into their mouth they will eat it up.

Suggest you keep the wavemaker on 24/7 and feed them regularly to prevent from hunger and attacking each other for food.

But based on my observations, its the smaller aro that tends to bully the bigger ones.
Anyway, just be more alert for fights.
