my FF is currently with my PNT. It eats turtle pellets.

well if u feed alot to pump up size... u can use carniv pellets and algea wafer.

but bear in mind, the more it depend on pellets, the less it will eat algae in ur tank.

hungry FF will eat watever there is available

that and FF grows very very slowly..

That will depends u want a working ff or a fat and fast growing one

Working one ... Starve and will work....big one just keep let it eat wafer and pellets

I know FF eats algae

but is it possible to have them feed on algae alone?

Am thinking of replacing normal plecos with FFs for my pond (quite a bit of sun).

Because FFs' bioload should be lower than plecos?

Not really true on bio load, if plent of food for ff, load will naturally high.
Pleco is because of wood that's y high....yes they can be vegetarian

so assuming both pleco and FF consume the same amount of food (algae in this case), the FF wont be lighter in terms of bioload?

was hoping it had a lower 'algae to poop' conversion

cause plecos are well known for being sh*tters

we better get back to the thread, else OT. haha

Pumping up my feifeng with carnivorous pallets.. hehe hopefully will be pui pui.. for removal of algae, I will leave it to my pleco to do the job
